Dentist Recommendation in Park Slope — Brooklynian

Dentist Recommendation in Park Slope

edited November -1 in Park Slope
I got a coupon in the mail for Gentle Dental Assoc on 5th Ave, and I thought I would check them out. I dont have dental insurance, and they're offering $65 for an initial cleaning and check-up. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Or does anyone have a recommendation of a dentist thats good and cheap? I kind of have a dentist-phobia.

  • I too have no dental insurance but I go to NYU dental school and have a great student dr. there. If you want his number just PM me.
  • I recommend signing up for a discount dental plan if you anticipate a lot of dental work. Most plans are around $100 a year and have reduced fees for a lot of procedures. I am having approximately $9k worth of work done for under $5k thanks to my discounted plan. dentalplans.com has a wide selection. Just look for the things you need (fillings, extractions, root canals, cleanings, etc) and pick whichever plan works best for you. The site also lists participating dentists, so you can find one in PS.

Also, you can look up any legal action against a dentist here:
