555 Prospect Pl. update?

Hi,

I'm looking into moving to 555 Prospect Pl. I've read quite a few older posts from '05-'08 with pretty disturbing information - but nothing more recent.
Complaints about everything from no gas and water to bed bugs and a shady management have bee made, but left hanging since.

I also checked out the history of complaints, DOB violations, and C of O issues for the building - and the most recent I found were from early 2008.

Does anyone have an update? Did anything change for the better? worse?
I have 5 months old twins, and moving is going to be a small nightmare. I am planning on a long term stay, and wouldn't want to move again in a year.

Any information would help - especially from current residents.
Time is of the essence, please post quickly...

it's fine. been year almost 4 years. no problems since year one.

i bet some units have had bedbugs, so might want to see about an exterminator first? it's not building-wide or anything.

Hi - I have lived around the corner, in 713 Classon, for 2 years and have had no problems. The super & his helpers are awesome. I've seen improvements in just the short time I've been here, like the addition of the laundry over on St. Marks.

And ... if you do move in, think about joining the Facebook group I started.
