ok to be fair though it was like...25 years ago. and although I dont have a criminal record (and if i did i wouldnt be on TV!!!!!) I have friends who do and are legit people who I would trust with my most prized possessions including my son (dog)

yah, I hear ya.....I made tons of mistakes 25 years ago and am lucky to have not done too much damage to myself or others....but her life doesn't sound like a simple mistake....more like a way of life....
