New to Area, where can a girl EAT?
Hi everyone,
I just moved to Lefferts/Nostrand and am feeling a slight bit isolated. Where can I get a nice, sit-down place with good food (veg friendly) and comfortably work on my laptop? Am I asking too much? I really don't know the area well, but am eager to explore.
Also, interested in meeting any friendly neighbors if you've an idle afternoon and want to show me around. I'm very pleasant company, promise!
Usually, I hang in the city with friends, but this summer it would be nice to relax more locally.
Thank you!

Closest place to you for sit-down is Tavern on Nostrand (full disclosure: I'm related to the new owners). They are open on Saturday from 4pm-1am (although the kitchen usually shuts down earlier if there is only a bar crowd).
Food is relatively inexpensive and among the best you'll get in the neighborhood. Its located on Nostrand between Union and President.
Oh, and they have free wifi... -
I'm a big fan of Tavern on Nostrand as well.
Also, you are very close to a couple of good sit down joints on Lincoln and Flatbush... K-Dog and Dunebuggy, Enduro and a BBQ place (don't know the name).
I think they all have WiFi. I know K-dog does, it's a coffee-shop-hang-out where I see people interwebbing sometimes.

dmiami,
I spent the better part of my day today at K-Dog, and loved it! Thanks for the recommendation. You all rule.
Howdy, Stranger!
