the mojito is great, but the raspberry martini is ridiculous. I thought the mojito at Red Bamboo was better, actually--they put sorrel in it instead of cilantro. -
I was kinda surprised that the NY metro article didn't mention Sorrel, Beast or Garden Cafe. then again, I'm kinda glad that the spotlight is off of PH for a bit, even with the mislocating of Franny's. my google alert woulda blowed up.

I'm not really a martini person, but I'll give it a try the next time I am there. I'm also easily won over with pretty much any use of cilantro

(a friend of mine made lime, lemongrass, and cilantro sorbet last weekend -- so good!) -

I was surprised they didn't mention Sorrel but not so much re Beast or Garden Cafe. I went to GC for the first time last wknd after years of being curious about it. Felt like I was in my grandma's house. Place could use a visit from those hipster design nerds.
All the attn to PH makes me queasy in a "there goes the neighborhood" way too. Is it too much to hope that graduating seniors in liberal arts colleges across the country don't read NY mag? Seriously, kids. You know what's a fun place? Cleveland! Make plans to move there immediately! -

GC doesn't bug me - it's a great place to go for a really quiet, intimate dinner. it's also awesome to take the 'rents to. I thought they might mention Beast b/c of the queer factor but I guess that's not hip anymore? can't keep up with the kids these days.
and yeah, I want all the asshats to move to bococa, if not cleveland. have fun, guys!
