Plastic Fork Explosion — Brooklynian

Plastic Fork Explosion

dailyheights
edited November -1 in Park Slope
Earlier today, 6th Ave. near 3rd street... what looked like about 1000 smashed plastic forks were scattered all over the street and sidewalk.

"Plastic Fork Explosion" would be a good name for a band.

That is all...

  • Indeed! I thought this was going to be an announcement that someone's band was playing this weekend ...
  • They can open for "Meat Wind"
  • Is this the first sign of reverse-gentrification? The move from nice silverware, to plastic ghettowear?

Man I bet the crabby locals are happy, the first signs of spring are here, and it looks like the yuppies are moving out!

Orrr, maybe this is like the Boston Tea party, where they dumped all the tea into the harbor. The hipsters are dumping all the pastic forks into the streets! Maybe the crabby locals won't be as happy as I thought!

I'm gonna get a T-shirt made (Brookfetish can do it) that says "I survived the Plastic Fork Explosion of 2006!"

Not to be confused with the Spastic Forks, which would be a good name for a punk band.
  • hmm-I live on 3rd Street right below 6th avenue-didn't notice it. Do you think someone's Costco haul exploded :?:

Hehe! I actually have a friend in a band called The Soft Explosions.

And don't forget Spork Explosion -- for a Prog. Rock band
  • I didn't see the forks, but I did see a tinseled Christmas tree on the curb on, I think, 3rd street off of 7th Ave. I always wonder what's up with that. I mean, it's almost May.

Hahahaha I saw one the other day too, guess some people feel the spirit longer than others! Or maybe they died last christmas and their body was just found in their apartment... I wonder if it was rent controlled...
