I'm unemployed and about to lose my damn mind
Subject: I'm unemployed and about to lose my damn mind
So..I lost my job a few weeks ago. Company buyout and they laid off the little people. This is the second job I've lost in the past nine months, so I figure I'm going to pause a second before I re-enter the job market. So anyway, I'm getting pretty bored. All of my friends do stuff during the day, you know, like working. I need some buddies that have free time in the afternoons - anybody interested?
Some interesting facts about me:
1.) My mother is an immigrant but has almost lost her accent.
2.) My father was born and raised in CA but that's not where I'm from.
3.) I actually grew up in Michigan and I've been in PH for a year.
4.) I get along pretty good with people of both sexes, all races, all ages.
5.) I'm trying not to get knocked up before I turn 30. (Although I'll let 29 slide). I'm 27 now and heading down the home stretch.
6.) I *love* Indian food. And anything that's spicy.
7.) I curse pretty frequently.
8.) My religious affiliation is somewhere between Buddhist and Hindu.
9.) I like hip hop and classic rock.
10.) I think I'm psychic.
11.) I like animals and children but not for extended periods of time.
Some things we could do:
1.) Ride bikes??? (This one is my favorite!)
2.) Catch a flick.
3.) Go to Prospect Park and do stuff.
4.) Day trip to Coney Island.
5.) Ride bikes!
So PM me if you're interested. I am going insane over here. Thanks neighbors.

Unfortunately, I have a job, so I won't be able to join you. But I fully support your idea of bike riding. I can't think of a better way to dispel stress. East 14th Street (in Brooklyn) provides a scenic, traffic-free route towards Coney Island.
Otherwise, a 12-pack of Schlitz can be had for a mere $6.49. -
I've never heard of someone "trying not to get knocked up" before. Is it that difficult?

did armchair warrior PM you yet?

Just a little bit of breader's humor. It is actually that hard, when you have to fight every urge in your primitave being.

Suppose you can bike, watch a dvd and eat spicy food at the same time

All while not getting knocked up? I'd say it's too good to be true! -
So we're talking a tandem bike with table and video monitor and a birth control patch on both seats?
-
ugh im underemployed as well
everyone thinks freelance graphic design is so cool.
believe me it aint.
i was thinking about untangling my bike from the communal rack in the basement of my building tomorrow.
my bmx looks real cool but that little seat is murder on my ass. -
Welp! If my eye is in better shape tomorrow and I can get my bike to the shop I'm going to break her in Prospect Park for an hour or so. After a week if all goes well I'm going to the boondocks (Gerritsen Beach, Floyd Bennet Field, etc) and another boro or two.

That's like when George Costanza goes for the trifecta of sex, TV and a pastrami sandwich! -
Which is ironic because I've been told I look like Costanza and I certainly love tv, pastrami sandwiches and sex, although not in that order.
