rooftop clutter on 5th Avenue — Brooklynian

rooftop clutter on 5th Avenue

Hey, I glanced out my window yesterday and all of a sudden there are these big antenna, panel-like things (a pair of 'em) on the building across the street. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed them on the roof of the white brick building on the corner of 5th Ave and Carroll. And what are they? Are they cell phone towers or solar panels? Hate to sound stupid, since I suspect the answer is obvious, but I have no clue. Anybody?

I've seen things like that on 5th over near 9th, I think they might be cell towers. Imagine that a landlord could get a ncie chunk of change renting un-used roof space for such things, bet they don't look any prettier over there than the ones I saw though.
