traffic transit problems? — Brooklynian

traffic transit problems?

getaround
edited November -1 in Brooklyn and Beyond
I'm the NYC Coordinator at the Tri-State Transportation Campaign (and a native Brooklynite). I've been working on a couple of sign-on letters about our transportation problems, and in particular I'm looking for Brooklyn groups to join us. If you belong to a neighborhood group, civic association, etc. that is interested in improving our traffic and transit problems, please email me at tt @ tstc.org and I'll be glad to send you the draft for review.

thanks!
Teresa

  • o excellent! welcome teresa, with exactly what was missing for me on the recent flamey threads about Bklyn development

(I already saw this group's letter, through my PS block assoc . . . )

We're talking traffic studies -- like, where will the traffic go if 5th Avenue ends at Flatbush with no outlet to Atlantic Ave. That's evidently part of the Ratner plan. Add to that the upzoning of 4th Ave, the massive Downtown Brooklyn plan and the redevelopment around the Gowanus Canal. And maybe some kind of sewer overload if the traffic and subway thing don't get us!
