Gentrification here we come! — Brooklynian

Gentrification here we come!

Aw, just kidding. However, AM New York who has been doing features on PH and Vandy for a long time now and has moved on to feature Crown Heights and all it's hipness. I was kinda pissed they mentioned David's Brisket House, as it's Idlewild's and my beloved lunch spot. We'll see what crowds descend because of this.

  • I wouldn't worry about it. Jim Leff has been writing about that spot for years, and his audience is more the type of foodie likely to make a trip from Manhattan to try a great place.
  • They left all the important stuff out...

What studio can you rent on St Marks anywhere near Franklin or w/e? And what about all the crime, all the time? Chill
  • Article references Brooklyn Beverage Barn, a beer distributor on Bedford, that had been open for about a year. Sadly, I believe it closed over July 4th weekend.
  • There is a beer distributor on Washington at approximately Dean St.

    ...on the PH side.
  • i used to always go to Brooklyn Beverage Barn. the girl that worked there used to give me 6ers for like 2 bucks. is it really closed down? that sucks.

also, funny that the majority of those businesses are on classon.
  • that sucks about the beverage barn...i had no idea it was closed! the place on washington is really nice - good prices and good selection.
