I have a tutoring service and would like it posted on various neighborhood message boards. The reason being that we travel and are available in many areas throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. My posts were removed, I presume because they are duplicates. Is there a way for me to make these posts on the individual neighborhood message boards without them being deleted?

Hi Kristen - you should be posting in our Classifieds. Please check out the rules of the site -- the neighborhood boards are non-commercial. So, your posts were probably removed because they were commercial, as well as duplicates.

The FREE CLASSIFIEDS are for individuals and small businesses local to Brooklyn - and of course you are welcome to buy advertising. There's more bits and pieces that pertain . . .

The reason that the Classifieds board was created was because the neighborhood boards became so clogged with ads that they became really difficult to read. Some people just want to chat about their neighborhood, not shop or get marketed to, and shouldn't have to go through posts that exist to make money for the OPs.

Furthermore, ads were our #1 crossposting problem--people would post them on every neighborhood board, driving users nuts and getting the OPs flamed in some cases. So we created a single place for them all to go.
