Any Musical Happenings in PH?

There's live music every night on Lincoln Place between Washington & Underhill, coming from the many car stereos on the block.

Ok so I'm a little bitter about it sometimes. But trying to write PHP code with bass from many stories below vibrating your desk can be trying....

I don't know anything in PH as I'm fairly new. Park Slope has a couple - there's Barbes at 9th st & 6th ave: http://www.barbesbrooklyn.com/directions.html They are pretty eclectic - I saw a great trio doing traditional Turkish songs there. It seemed that the music was constantly getting louder, until I realized the room had become packed with old turkish guys standing and singing along. Pretty cool.

Also there was a jazz bar that opened last year at 5th ave & 2nd st or so. Then there's the big one - southpaw on 5th closer to Flatbush. In addition, and maybe this is actually Prospect Heights, a friend who plays trumpet says there is/was an upstairs jazz place on Flatbush, maybe near 5th ave.
