quick help

edited November -1 in Park Slope
am meeting a friend at 3:30, and want to go somewhere fun for drinks and nibbles in the slope. I'd love a garden. Brookvin and Beer table both don't open until 5...any suggestions?

Thanks!

  • Not many places are going to be open- you might try Dram or maybe one of the more fun restaurants (maybe Barrio?) I know the gate opens at 3, you could run to Grab or Beercraft and get some cheese/bread, sit outside and have some drinks at The Gate...
  • Dram Shop seems like it's always open and has food. Never been but it is never empty.
  • dram is def open and they do have food, its a sportsbar kinda place though so if you were looking for something beer-table or brookvin-esque its not the same vibe. I vote cheese and sun at The Gate...
  • Gate sounds awesome...on another note, anyone know when Bar Tini is open?
  • you could spend 30 minutes at cafe steinhof; they close between 4 and 5 pm.
  • tini opens at 5 pm weekdays, 4 pm weekends, but they also have brunch hours on weekends.
  • I actually meant the new place on 8th and 13th...isn't it a coffee shop in the a.m. that morphs into a bar/restaurant as the day moves on. It's the place owned by the Bar Toto folks.
  • Alchemy, the gatropub, has a back patio, and great food/drinks, plus free fried chickpeas (trusts me you'll adore them -hell, I might go myself!)
