Hi all,

not sure where folks want to go for happy hour, so I'm starting a poll that should die around Thursday morning. then .. hopefully .. we'll all know where to go. :)

yeah, that got my vote, too. but I'm predictable like that.
  • Sepia is one block away from me. I'm lazy like that.
  • I voted for Mooney's because it's almost in da Slope.

    I also voted for Mooneys.

    Indigo is overpriced.
  • Mooney's due to Wing Wagon and Carneviento love.
  • ooh, it's getting tight between Mooney's and Sepia .. too bad Mooney's doesn't have bubbly.
  • this is my first post - met a few of you a couple happy hours ago.

even though i had fun at soda - i put a vote in for mooneys. gotta love the dart board.
  • I voted for Sepia...but that was before you guys reminded me about Wing Wagon... :? I do love me some Wing Wagon...

well, mooney's and sepia are the top two choices. and since you can brink takeout/delivery to either, if you MUST have wing wagon, you could just get it. or maybe they deliver.
  • Hey, um, being a rookie at this, what are the times involved?

I hope you all won't give me too much crap for living in the slope.

usual start, unless otherwise said, somewhere btwn 6:30 and 7 p.m.
ending time ... uh. depends on who is there and how much *drinking* is going on.

and no one gets shit for their unfortunate slopeism.

Did you come with WhyFi last time?

    Yeah.
... and I think that he still owes alafairnadia a drink!
  • Holy crap! When did Mooney's pull ahead?!
  • Are there really going to be 22 people at happy hour tonight?
  • Carnivore wrote: Are there really going to be 22 people at happy hour tonight?
    I'm guessing 9... :x
  • Who are all these people voting on happy hour locales that don't show up?
  • Carnivore wrote: Who are all these people voting on happy hour locales that don't show up?
People that don't get their way? I feel that you're somewhat obligated to go if you vote for the eventual winner, but if I didn't vote for the winner, and the winner just isn't my speed, I don't see any problem with not going.
  • I'm declaring Mooney's the winner this week, and Sepia the winner for next week, k?

    So, I'll see y'all tonight at Mooney's - Flatbush btwn Sterling & Park - sometime btwn 6:30 & 7 p.m.

For the newbies, and I expect you to show up since at least one of you voted for Mooney's, I'm wearing a pink leather jacket (yes, if you've seen someone walking around in a pink leather jacket, it's probably me) and a lace shirt. and no, I don't look like a hooker. see you there.
  • I'll swing over sometime between 8:30-9pm.

Darts: Bring 'em if ya got 'em.
  • As much as I'd loooove a Mooney's Happy Hour - and yes, I voted that way - I'm going to Barbes tonight to see Catherine Russell.
    And I invite you all.

That's at 8pm! You could come to Mooney's after...

yeah, and when the alarm goes off at 5am on Friday morning, I'll have to kill myself.
And then I'll never make another happy hour, except as an evil ghost
    :D
  • Well, I got official clearence from wifey, so I'll probably be there 7 or so.

I wear a black cap with a pissed-off looking bird on it. It's a short yet boring story.
  • I may show up if I get enough work done today.

Where is the carneviento exactly, so I can avoid it (or at least prepare myself)?

to completely avoid it, just come to mooney's from sterling instead of park. :)
