How did they not list Albaz?
-
and that is why I stopped buying Time Out. It has LOOONG since stopped being a relevant source of good information about anything: restaurants, music, movies etc. The magazine feels like a bunch of navel gazing, trendy, frat people, trying too hard to be "in the know" about a New York that they are too narcissistic to truly search out.
If you don't live in the designated "hot areas" or don't fit in their "demographic" you are _NOT_ in their "New York".    -
On what planet is Brooklyn Larder a "cheap eat"...
-
$9 for a pint of sorbet is cheap?
-
I can't even open the site, every time I try, Firefox crashes. Doesn't sound like I am missing anything though
-
They look for places with ultra trendy rich young people first, then sort them by some variable.
Once you limit your sample size in this way, its hard to find someplace that is also cheap.
...Albaz didn't stand a chance.
Carnie, can we get a diagram of the problem? -
Whynot stfu the hoff is full of babbies.
TEAM HOFF -
I wasn't talking about hoff!
...PH does have a lot more good, cheap places than PS though.
I'll STFU when they actually give me work to do. Until then I blog endlessly. It's brutal for everyone involved. ...good news: everyone gets a break when I'm out of town 8/25 - 9/3. -

In the world where you're buy a $10 sandwich instead of a $50 restaurant meal.
That said, listings magazine articles are always driven by PR and advertising, so . . . meh. Robert Sietsema, this ain't. -

we could start a count down until I go away on vacation.......
that way a whole thread could be devoted to how happy people will be that I am gone. ....I might even find some time during work hours to contribute. -

The Halusky, is a cheezy starchy mass of heaven. Think like a mac n cheese type thing...only creamier and better, oh and gut expanding.... I guess that's why I am fat.

After 11 weeks on crutches with no exercise, I'm sporting some serious chubb, too. I figure it's just more of me to love :-)

funny how the snobby attitude makes you sound very much like those you aim to criticize!
