Sounds like a Maury "My Kids Are Out of Control!" Povich episode...
-
wait. girls or women?
-
from a distance, they looked like girls.
-
fucked up.
-
and loud!!!
-
Listen I take umbrage with you calling these women, 'girls.' How do you know how old they are? Did you ask? Did you do some sort of mitochodrial DNA test to check their cellular decay for aging purposes?
I didn't go to Yale and get my MA at NYU to read such patriarchical trash. Judith Butler was on my doctoral committee and I will tell you that sexist discourse of this nature is endemic and fully integrated in our psyches. This makes me want drive around in my Volvo blasting Laurie Anderson!!!!
I ask you this: What if they were all wearing a small boy's cap? Would you call them girls then? Huh? Huh? The temerity.... -
GENDERCONFRONTATION! :P
-
It's a good use of alliteration, but the "Prior" takes it too far. It's redundant and awkward. Somebody obviously felt that 6 "P" words just weren't enough and decided to force the issue.
-
in my 6th grade class, it was only 5 p's -- excluding "piss" (for obvious reasons) and "prior" (which is redundant with "preparation").
still, the rhythm of the 7 p version is catchy.... -

The "female marchers" were most likely from that new Boot Camp gym on Flatbush, between 5th and 4th Aves.

It DEFINITELY was not that.
These girls were being disciplined, not exercised. In fact, at times, they were blindfolded. -

this barely sounds legal.
which reminds of the porn movie I'll make one day, set in a law firm: "barely para-legal"

Ha ha - I like that.
I too work at a law firm and we used to rent space in another large firm's building. When they had their summer associate welcome soire we (the secretaries) would tease the cute associates with lines like "Can we see your legal briefs", "How are you at dick-tation".
Of course this was all before the dreaded sexual harrassment laws that were put into effect. Sheesh now I cant grab a guys butt in a crowded elevator anymore

Could have been girls pledging a sorority. How were they dressed?

The same...which could make sense....but, which school?? -
Isn't there a boot camp fitness down on flatbush by 5th ave? Could it have been part of this?

I believe you can buy rubber thumbs at Purple Passion. But it's a better deal when you buy the whole glove and dress to go with it.

Could be almost any one. Not to start a raciconfrontation (and yes I'm trademarking that) but were they black and hispanic? Black sororities in the city have geographic/graduate as well as school chapters. They also tend to have pledge activities that take place away from school campuses as many city schools have commuter students.

Redweld cuts and rubber thumbs sound like porn terms par excellence.
