Looking for a 2BR near Prospect Park for $1800 or less

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have been lurking for a few weeks. My fiance and I are looking to rent a 2BR in Park Slope or Prospect Heights. We would like to move Sept. 1st, and we are moving from Williamsburg -- we have been here for 6 years and we're ready for a better apartment in another neighborhood.

We both have jobs and great credit. I am also currently going to school part-time for an MBA at NYU Stern. We are looking to pay no more than $1800.

Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated! No brokers, please.

If you find a 2BR near the park in Park Slope (by near I mean in the "real" PS, and within 3 or 4 blocks of the park) for $1800, there is something horribly wrong with it.

You might have more luck in PH, but I haven't looked in a while so don't know prices very well.

If interested in South Slope, 20th bet 5th and 6th, there's a 2 BR with garden access or balcony, 5 blocks to Prospect Park. A little more than youre asking at $1850. Regardless, good luck!
