Rooms for party rentals?

Hi All,

I'm looking to rent a nice room for my wedding in June of 2010. I'm looking to make this rather informal (i.e. no dj just an ipod and some catering). I'm finding it very hard to find any rooms and when I do I can't find contact info or no one calls me back. If anyone knows of anything in the Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Coney Island, Mill Basin, Gravesend (etc) areas it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a family member in the military you could get Ft Hamilton.

There is also the Knights of Columbus on 86th and 13th.

There used to be a place on 87th street near 5th called the Crescent Club with very nice views of the Bridge.

The Churches along Ridge Blvd in the 80s also have basements they have rented out - but not sure if you have to be a parishoner.

There are a few clubs on 86th past 20th Avenue (one was 20/20) which could also be options - but depends on the DAY of the wedding (forget Friday or Saturday nights).

Some of the caterers have rooms - or at least connections - you could ask them as well. Depending on the number of people you anticipate, it might be worthwhile to check some of the smaller restaurants along 3rd or 4th avenue - it might end up being the same (or lower cost).
