Searching for Garden Floor Apartment
Hi there,
We're a couple (who come with an older black lab) looking for a 1 bedroom with yard or garden. We would really like to get along with our neighbors and build a sense a community, so if you are a family looking for a nice addition to your brownstone in the garden apartment ... I think we're a perfect match! We both have jobs and very secure incomes, but also have artistic and green interests including gardening and beekeeping (if you were open to having a hive in the yard or roof that would be an added bonus!) We would definitely like to rent straight from the owner if possible. Looking to move September 1st or even October 1st. Please email if you think we would be a good fit for your vacant space. We would like to stay under $2000 a month.
Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Fort Green, Cobble Hill, Clinton Hill, or Ditmas Park

oh I thought my email address would show up on the side
it's [email protected] if you'd like to chat! -
Park Slope South. 20th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. $1850. 2 bedrooms. Access to garden or balcony. No Brokers fees.
-
Thanks for replying - but 20th street is in no way Park Slope.
-
No offense, but that's because there is no way you can get a garden apartment for $2000 in any part of park slope. I say this wishing I had one too.
-
I did not invent 'Park Slope South'. I do have apartments in Park Slope as you've inquired, however they list for 3500 up especially with Garden Access. No offense here but its a tall order for 2 BR, garden access, 2000 in Park Slope 'proper'. Thats the reason I was clear in my post that the apartment was on 20th street.
Once again, ill extend myself. If you're still looking and would love to move south, the apartment is still available. Thanks! And take care. -
I wasn't looking for a 2 bedroom, just a 1 bedroom, and plenty of our friends have garden apartments in central slope for under 2000. It is definitely possible we just need to find the right one.
Again, thanks for posting, but I am really looking for something in central park slope and I have to say it gets a little taxing reading numerous craigslist ads that post apartments as located in park slope when they aren't, so that's why I replied.
We are also looking in the other neighborhoods mentioned above.
Thanks! -
I may have something of interest in Prospect Heights, once again we have to be wary with the borders of Crown Heights. lol. Nonetheless, shoot me a private email if you want to know what's available from my end! Thanks.

Disagree. Filling ground floor apartments can be tricky due to vermin and plumbing issues.
If the landlord is living in the building, the ground floor is probably well maintained. -

'zactly, although I think the problem is the darkness. And I know people living in them for under $2000. Probably not renovated, but Mami, start looking around! Check the housing board in the stairs of the PSFC! -
Subject: Update!
We just signed a lease on a gorgeous floor-through 1 bedroom w/ private garden in the north slope for $1900 (+ washer dryer) w/ no brokers fee. I'm thinking I'm cashing in on some good karma here
and to those who are looking for the perfect apartment, have faith that it's absolutely possible if you keep your hopes up and keep looking.
So, moral of the story is ... don't be a Naysayer. -
wow. I'm impressed. How did you find the place?
Howdy, Stranger!
