It might be cheaper for a few bottles, but if I'm buying by the case slope has a 15% discount. The prices are probably pretty similar after that.
Slope also has free delivery and Ben, which Costco does not.
are you gonna get a wine cooler or what. -
I think it makes more sense to just drink what I have faster.

RANT: Ticket scalping/reselling is now legal in NY which makes it virtually impossible to buy a through TicketMaster although their $9.70 service fee per ticket plus the sometimes building fee of $2.00 is like being scalped.

I can sympathize with them. Cats take time and money, which is lot to ask when you don't even want the cat. I don't think I'd have waited a month.

Im inclined to agree with you- the room-mate who abandoned the cat is an asshole, not this guy who got stuck with it. Be mad at the dude who left it. -
No way, this guy is an asshole too. The fact that he has a cat yet is so heartless to this cat is incomprehensible to any animal lover. If his new roommate has cats too, why not have a heart and take your time to find him a loving home?
-
PS.. Pets are innocent creatures who our at the mercy of humans, we domesticated them. It's our fault and burden to help them.

Rave:
My exercise bike is coming today!! I just freakin' bought it on the 27th/28th
, how quick!
It weighs 80lbs....will the Fedex dude bring it up to the 3rd floor or should I have some mans here to go down and get it? -
I guess I've had room-mates with some pretty terrible pets that I would not have taken if they left. This cat could have behavioral or physical problems that the posted obviously doesn't want to mention because it would deter potential adopters... its a shitty situation all the way around but I don't think he's necessarily totally heartless. Someone needs to find the person who left it and deliver it to his doorstep.
-
i'm mad at both of them. i can't imagine abandoning a pet. i'd live in my car with my cat before i'd ditch her. but when you already have one, a second isn't that much extra effort or expense--they mostly take care of themselves. and there are two new ones coming into the place, so it isn't like it's a question of too many cats, no room for more cats, etc. when it's already living with you, how can you decide that you'd rather leave it someplace where it's almost guaranteed to be killed than find the extra $10 a month to keep it in kibble and litter? if my cat didn't attack all other cats on sight, i'd take it. my gut feeling is that there is some animosity toward the departed roommate that is being taken out on this cat, and that blows. i hate sad pet stories.
-
Well, let's just drop the subject as people always have strong emotions about this stuff and we are all friends and should not let this become an argument.
On another note: Damn looks like it's about to rain! The sky on my side of town just got really dark, like it was dusk.
And EM: Congrats on the bike! Yeah send some dudes down to help bring it up unless you have some cash to give a good tip to the Fedex guy. -

Hmm...10 bucks? It's all the cash I got at the moment. My money tree just left to work. Damnit.
So they finally sent word that my MJ shirt (dancing feet) has finally been shipped. The 2nd one I bought came in yesterday. Oh how I love it so. Sigh. -
Nope. Inclined to agree with Mama. The cat didn't ask to get left nor did it ask to belong to a dirtbag owner who'd leave it.
It falls on us to show more compassion then our "fellow man." -
Ok, so adopt a kitty from a no kill shelter to make room for this one. Problem solved
-
Oh hush mougar! Go get me some lamb over rice!
-
rant: that poor kitteh. BOTH the roommate and the poster are assholes.
rave: the two British ladies on "How Clean is Your House?". I love them!
