Holy cow Sunday! Near 5th Ave, I'd guess between Carroll and 6th St . . . BIG pop, no time between the flash and the noise...

I guess most nonwireless 'puters are smartly turned off right now.

  • There were police and fire trucks on 5th between Douglass and Sackett right after the bang, but wasn't clear what the damage was.

  • Yeah, that was one hell of a bang. I felt it go through my chest. And just five minutes later, I had five fireman on my doorstep. There was even ash falling from the sky. Luckily, there's no damage to report.

  • i wonder how many people had their computers fried, nic cards, monitors. our house had lightning hit between the buildings and i lost an optical drive, my wife a nic card, neighbors lost monitors etc. powerful stuff that lightning.
