Sticking to the Park Slope Border

I think a lot of stuff gets posted in this section because more people read it than the Gowanus section (among others that aren't read much). It's not like we're realtors trying to sell you on a place by lying about the neighborhood it's in

Perhaps you should just not read about stuff outside of PS if you don't like seeing it here. -

Kill Zone looking north, 3rd to 1st Streets.
Back in the early 70's the first gentrifiers got together and erected a wall down 4th Avenue. We were trying to keep the lushness of Park Slope from being defiled by the "people" that inhabited Gowanus.
Definitely was my "kind of standard"
Unfortunately it was removed in order to install bike lanes.

In terms of this board, Gowanus posts are welcome here until our Gowanus board has enough of a critical mass. We split it off early on, but the Gowanus side kinda shriveled up...
Yes, 4th Ave is the western border. There's lots and lots of previous threads to talk borders, but ^^^ is your answer in terms of this site and that issue.

splitting hairs, just because...do people consider 4th ave itself to be PS, or is the border perceived to be just slightly towards the 5th ave side?
I know what I think. Curious what other people think. -

I'll go with the OP on this...since it's a rainy hair-splitting Sunday with cleaning to be avoided... -
that's my thought, as well...at one time I lived just off 4th ave and it we jokingly referred to it as the "slump of the slope"
