Plateless SUV on Sterling

Anyone who lives on or around Sterling between Washington and Underhill probably knows the dark SUV always parked on the block sans license plates. Some guys hang out in and around the car 24/7 playing music, etc.

Last night a godsend came in the guise of a shitload of cops bearing down on them, lining them up, frisking, questioning, etc. around 10:15pm. After 20 minutes, the cops evaporated and it was pretty much biz as usual, albeit with no thumpin' bass.

Nice to see the pressure is on -- I hope it is here to stay, as a taggless SUV with tinted windows full of young guys just hanging around probably equals no good.

I've called 311 countless times on this crew. Where's Guliani when we need him, eh?

have you called sanitation on them? If it is plateless it can be tagged and removed by the Dept. of Sanitation, it's treated as an abandoned car. Of course if there are always people with it I'm sure it won't be towed but it's another way to keep the pressure on them.
