Nelson the Majestic Tripod Kitty Needs a Home!

Nelson was brought into the city shelter with his leg missing. His owners said he had fallen from their apartment window. Luckily a rescue group took him, and Nelson had surgery that day.

Nelson is about 2 years old, the wounds are completely healed, and he's ready for his new home. His fur will grow over his scars and you won't even be able to see them. He's adapted to having only three legs and he needs no more medical care and should live a normal healthy life.

He's a cuddly, affectionate guy, but (understandably) a little defensive since his accident, so he probably shouldn't be placed with young children. He would do fine with another gentle cat or dog after an adjustment period.

Nelson loves to head butt and gives sweet nose-to-nose kisses. He's very clean about the litter box and prefers crunchy food to canned. He's a very MAJESTIC cat...he loves to lounge around and look handsome. He's calm and well-behaved and doesn't scratch the furniture.

He's neutered, vaccinated, tested and microchipped. There is an application and a reasonable adoption donation.

aw i wish I had space, bruno would love a friend. 250sq feet does not accommodate another breathing critter. Im sure someone will love him!

Wow, he looks great! I saw one of the 1st posts about him on craigslist and emailed the woman fostering him. I wanted to offer my experience with a tripod kitty, in case someone interested in adopting him wasn't sure how they get around. She said he was doing great and it's obvious from that pic that he is! Fingers crossed!
