Are the reviews in yet? Also wondering the most direct way to drive there from the slope. Specifically, where do you cross under the BQE?

ooooooooh. I want to go here (have a car), but am afraid that if they have a "cheese cave" similar to the one on the UWS, I may never be heard from again.

If this is my last post ever, you know where to look :lol:

I heard it was very very nice. I cannot wait to go this Friday!!

Since I am close to Atlantic I take that straight down to Columbia then right on DeGraw left on Van Brunt.

I think there is a crossover at Sackett but off the top of my head I cannot be sure. (Once Caputo's closed there was no need for me to go that way :) )

On your way home you can cross over the BQE at Union Street.

If you find a more direct route please post - I will do the same when I go Fri.
  • how do I get there via public transport? or will someone drive me? I LOVE LOVE LOVE fairway - I lived very close to the 129th street one for years and have never recovered leaving it behind.
  • PUB TRANS DIRECTIONS to Fairway Red Hook (from Fairway website):
Take subway and/or bus: A, C, F, 2, 3, 4, 5 to Jay St./Boro Hall or M, N, R to Court St. station. Take the B-61 Bus from the corner of Jay St. and Willoughby St. or the corner of Court St. and Atlantic St. towards Red Hook to last stop (Corner of Van Brunt and Beard St.) Walk south on Van Brunt St. one long block to the end at the water’s edge.
F train to Smith/9th St. station. Take B-77 that stops at Van Dyke and Van Brunt St. Walk on Van Brunt St. to the end.
  • May I suggest a great resource for finding the quickest way to get there:

    http://www.hopstop.com/?city=newyork

Enter in starting and ending address (Fairway is 480 Van Brunt St) and it'll tell you the fastest way. You can even tell it if you want fewer transfers and more walking or vice versa.

For me it said B71 to B61.
