too bad for little D. i enjoyed it while it lasted.
-
Yea, me too. But lord knows we need some good Mexican.
-
Fonda? Do not like name.
-
Kind of like "Fondle".
-
^^ love you
-
Is Fonda a Mexican restaurant? Where is this?
-
as long as it's not a nail salon!
-
horrible name!
reminds me of both Jane and LaFonda from Napoleon Dynamite. -
This thread sucks. Little D was ok.

OK at overcharging for crappy food? agreed!
bring on Fonda! -
Yay...another Mexican restaurant (sarcasm).
-
If it's GOOD Mexican, then I'm all over the place. We have way too many crappy/mediocre Mexican restaurants (Rancho Alegre, Mezcal, etc etc), but this will hopefully be in the vein of Chiles y Chocolate.

Carmen and I got ourselves invited in (surprise, surprise) during their "soft open" tonight for "friends and family". Hey, I'm friends with everybody!
I had 2 Don Julio margaritas on the rock with salt. Well made and ...um....free....loves free.....
Carmen had white sangria..I didn't taste it.
We already had dinner at the Hoff, but were coerced into eating a farmer's cheese nacho, which was delish with mole. Chef/managers, etc. are from Mexico City.
I'll be back to try it again -
Flexichick... you need to share some of your friend love!!!! I want a soft opening invite.
-
Ooooh, Flexi! I need to get to know you better. Walked by earlier today and noticed a couple eating. I like the interior and hope they do well. Looking forward to trying it when we can line up the sitter.
-
that's how I roll :-)
"soft opening" extended until tomorrow. Open to public on Thursday -
ask anybody how I got us all invited to the Union St. BBQ :-)
(note: it was this past Saturday, but we didn't make it...but BigGuy, Christina, Carnivore, VooDoo, and others can vouch for my ability to get us the hookup)
I'm optimistic about Fonda (even though I don't love the name)
Oh, and I got a woman next to me to let me taste her chocolate pudding (delish) -
damn, Flexi is the girl to know! :-)
-

it took you THREE years to figure this out? tsk tsk -
I like the name. The key is to go with fOHnda and not fAHnda.
-
deLISH. I am going back tomorrow. That nacho was serious and the sangria was not the best i've had, but better than most. Menu seemed great overall, and manager and chef were from rosa mexicana!
-
rest of the food looked really good....guac was in a large mortar/pestle....some sort of pulled pork dish going on....
we could have kept going (offers for more drinks! more food!) but we were full -

Actually the name is good if you understand spanish slang. Fonda connotes a popular local dive. Nothing to do with Jane or Henry.

yah, name is for a local hangout type of place
-
<----singing....workout tapes by Fonda....my anaconda ain't got none, unless she's got buns, hun
-
Still, wouldn't it be amazing if "Fonda" were a Vietnamese place? Hello Hanoi Jane!
-
Walked by last night and spied people's food. Looked pretty good.
-
I'm going to stand next to the window looking at Flexi tonight until she lets me try some.

Ha! After a bunch of drinks last night, I'm not planning on a repeat. I'm old and I need recovery time!
-
I'm still planning on going
