    I still don't believe the band kicked the dog. Shoe-d them away? Yes. But kicking a dog? I can't believe it. How come now one else saw it? The owner was yet another entitled park sloper that can't believe someone didn't want to pet their puppy. Shocked? Hardly.

    And the photographer was a guy? If there truly was a kick, couldn't he man up and confront the band? They were wearing pirate shirts for chrissakes! How tough can they be?

    I didnt read the other links to Curbed, etc.., did anyone else verify there was a kick?

    I'm a long time out from high school grammar, but isn't 'their' used properly here as a possesive adjective indicating that the dog belonged to the person doing the calling?

    Off leash areas encompass a ridiculously large percentage of land in Prospect Park. It is almost impossible to avoid off leash dogs during off leash hours, especially since so many owners scoff the rules and let the dogs run loose everywhere, like on the paths while walking to the designated off leash areas, at dog beach during off hours, etc. etc.

    Dog owners have been granted more privileges and space than just about any other constituency in the park. Then they bark at people for daring to intrude on their space, which is public space theoretically open to all. This is uncalled for.

    Confine the unleashed dogs behind fences, dogs will leave people alone, people who don't like dogs will leave dogs alone. FIDO will whine because they don't own the whole park during the morning hours any more, but that would be the rational solution to the controversy. I won't hold my breath for people who "think with their hearts" to embrace reason, however.

    I don't care about your 'dog baby'. I own a dog, I am the owner. If my dog was my 'dog baby' then I would be a 'momma dog' and you know there is another word for 'momma dog' and it ain't nice. :D

    Subject: Dog rules

    I hate to inform the people who would like to see off lease hour's space in Prosepect Park curtailed, any politician who supports this idea would lose enough votes to see themselves straight out of office.

    Dog owners have pull in this neighborhood. Start loving it, get use to it.

    Before 9:00am, dog owners rule the park. If this is not to your liking, go find a place where neighbors tell other neighbors where to go and what to do, such as the suburbs.


    Oh, and if we see anyone kicking dogs, there will be hell to pay.
