  • it's open, I had drinks there on friday (in the rain)
  • Why would it be closed? Hasn't it been open for a while? And (promise last question) is that owned by the guy who has the "Cookin in Brooklyn" show?
  • I thought I read it was opened on Memorial Day, but thanks for the heads up.

It's an outdoor only place so it's seasonal, open from around now until around halloween if I remember correctly.

Yup, he also is behind an number of other restaurants, mostly around smith street. Here's a link to a bio:

  • I think it's been open for a month at least. When I walked by a few weeks ago it was packed.

    Thanks - I love his show :)
  • I've only been once, but it's pretty busted. seemed to be mostly frat boy types. not sure why you're all psyched about it being open or not - the Soda garden is way better. or Patio's garden.

I agree wholeheartedly. I liked the idea of the place, but when Mrs. C and I walked by the frat boy thing was such a turnoff that we just kept walking.
It was like Dunbar's on Eddy St (free drink from me at happy hour tonight to anyone who can name the town without using Google).
  • Do they have TV sets outside? Looking to catch a game and have a beer outside this weekend, since the weather is supposed to be nice and all (well, except for Saturday, that remains to be seen)....

Saturday: A few showers in the morning with scattered thunderstorms arriving in the afternoon. High 79F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Sunday: More sun than clouds. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 60s.

Monday: Abundant sunshine. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.

alafairnadia was the first to get this right (by PM).
  • this may seem odd, but does anyone know when they will be closing for the year?
