Soccer Bars

Hey everybody,

I'm moving to Park Slope next week (DeGraw street) and have a major concern. I don't think I'll be getting cable TV for awhile but I'm going to need a place to watch the World Cup!

Are there any bars that show soccer that you could recommend?

  • shaaiiiiiiiiit yes!

BlackSheep Pub on Bergen off 5th avenue
they've got a wide screen display and show all soccer all the time

    it's a soccer hooligan pub!
  • Sounds perfect! Thanks.
  • any other ideas on where to go? I'm in S. Slope/WT.

Where can I find the games/broadcast schedule? (um, I suppose I could have Googled it in the time I spent typing this)
  • ok, in Brooklyn, you can check out the following:
    • - FloydNY in Brooklyn Heights off of Atlantic easy to get to by Subway
      - FloydNY's Park Slope extension which will be off Union and 5th Ave, the latest I heard it would be open in mid-June. Which I must say btw, I took a peek in there, and the place looks awesome.
      - As mentioned before Black Sheep.
I am taking off for both the weekday US games and going into Manhattan to watch the games, but I plan on watching the June 17th game vs Italy in Brooklyn. If FloydNY's new place is open on that Saturday, I will be there.

You can find the match schedule here:

Though the games that matter only involve this country. June 12th at Noon, June 17th at 3pm, June 22 at 10am. God willing, there will be a fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh game!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

    HA! KOREA ALL THE WAY!

But... soon after they're inevitable elimination I'll root for the U.S... if they're still around...
  • Subject: ANFIELD

Sorry to shatter your illusions but the chances the U.S. are getting out of their group (ie "the Group of Death") are, well, simply not very good at all. (And I believe in your heart of hearts you know this, lol) Last time around you were great but it ain't happening this time.
  • And England going much farther without Rooney ain't likely to happen either.....but hey, with the Czechs a few years older and slower, and the Italian scandal.....anything can happen!

if we're lucky that's a huge problem for the italians and maybe we'll have a chance to make it out of the group
