Funny stuff

Me thinks you should of included the Carnivore pictures in this thread. Whats the point other than making us look like nasty assholes?

Poor Teddy, we hardly knew ye.

  • Thank God, my finger was going numb from scrolling.
  • We get your point. It's pathetic.

    "We" ?

What am I talking to? A coral reef?
  • Mod,

Come on. What is your point? I've read your posts in the past and you have seemed fair. But what is this?

I find your photo of Ted Kennedy (and Harry Reid) offensive. I am from Massachusetts and he was my senator my whole life. If you object to how he lived his life, okay, I would agree that he was not a saint. However, most great politicians are just that - great politicians (and not great human beings) - see Winston Churchill. Kennedy cared about the less fortunate. I don't know how you can refute that without being an classist or elitist.

The photo of Kennedy is funny. I can laugh at the photo and not challenge that he cared about the less fortunate. Sure, Ted Kennedy cared for the less fortunate, and he also left his mistress for dead in a sinking car and went home like a coward. And, the Kennedy men are not exactly known for being faithful to their wives. Joking about Kennedy is just fine and I recommend it.
  • Danielle, like I said at the top without the Carnivore photos he snuck in last night these photos seem sort of pointless. We were simply responding in kind. There are many damning things to be said about Kennedy, Reid and Obama. I wouldn't normally be inclined to simply run pictures without captions (at least).

Funny stuff whynot, I wonder who dreams up this stuff. I nearly shit myself!
  • OMG whynot, for once you have a useful post! I totally forgot about that game. I was so obsessed with it upon first discovery that my IT team called me out on it at work. Returning to it now brings me the same immense amount of joy as it did initially. Sigh.
  • glad I could help.
  • Scarlett and Whynot just agreed on something? OMG. LOCK YOU DOORS. I'm scared, mommy :-)
  • It has been known to happen. I think this is the second time in almost two years.
  • Throwing shoes at Bush brings people together.

....for our next act, we'll conquer that whole middle east conflict.

this might have to be nominated under "best of brooklynian".

so much peace and love. I'm going to sleep now with a smile on my face :D
  • This thread is drifting (listing?) badly. I had to bring back on point.

Somehow you have evidence that others have never gotten since the late 60s (40 years ago) that Kennedy was supposedly having sex with Mary Jo Kopechne. Can you please impart this evidence/knoweldge to the rest of us (the entire world) since no one else seems to have this evidence?

And the fact that "Kennedy men" are not "exactly known for being faithful to their wives" does not mean that Ted Kennedy was not faithful to his. Your "evidence" in your post above, means nothing.

You are funny. There is tons of evidence. Take the picture below, the woman on his right was not his wife.

Danielle? More to the point He let somebody die without doing anything. Nobody cares who Teddy was dicking.

Not sure what you mean by the pet shop boys, but it is a nice pic!

    Yeah, Pet Shop Boys.
  • I respected the boys for releasing it only on vinyl. Probably not well known by the digital gen.

    Very funny.

I think Guided By Voices, on their 23rd outtakes record, had a song by the same name :)
