Agreed. Though both sides of politics do cut their funding from time to time, and the US was kind of stingy when it came to building the LHC. But the DOE still has some of the best toys ever built.

Saying that Republicans or Democrats hate the DOE makes no sense. Education and politics surrounding education and unions are huge issues, Michael Moore sound bites or press releases don’t solve issues and don’t further the conversation.
for what it's worth, that was a summary of what Moore said; not the actual speech itself. he went into more detail in the actual speech.

i think Moore is suggesting that, historically, Republicans have cut educational funding more times than not. i do not know if that is true.
Moore is a professional liar, and has both an agenda and contingency he is loyal to. To say the least, I would hope you would take his suggestions with a grain of salt.

Your post demonstrates first hand the danger of potentially false information. If he had made this allegation against the Democrats, I'm sure you would prob look into it to see if it were true; however since you consider his motives "good", the veracity of his claims are of no concern as long as they align with your views.

And for the record, I don't know or care what the Repub's record with education is... all I do know is that both parties are responsible for the failing educational system, and ultimately the lack of critical thought from American adults...

Better yet, get the humans out of every industry, so that all enterprises may function more efficiently. Our giant robot masters expect nothing less.

yes but one party prides itself on Reaganomics which seeks to reduce federal support in education (and everything except war and firefighters) as much as possible, and one does not.
