Recommended window treatment places?

I am moving to the South Slope soon and am wondering what window treatment companies people have had good experiences with. I would want them to come to my place and do the measurements. Thanks!

  • we used budget blinds; relatively painless and has an alleged no questions asked 5 year replacement guarantee
  • How much do you want to spend? We had Smith and Noble come, take measurements and bring samples, etc., but it cost a bundle. A bundle. More than I ever thought I would spend to cover up my windows.
  • I have two floor to ceiling window situations and they each have a glass door built in. I assumed they would cost a lot, I was guessing like $2000?
  • the shade store (theshadestore(dot)com) is pretty good!
a bit on the pricey side but are offering 15% off and free shipping to first time customers with promo code FIRST09

i do not work for them but do want to share discounts!
  • There are some places I see in the hood with those walls that are all window.

One of those is right behind me and I see it from the back porch. Yeah, they paid a million for the apartment but now can"t afford to cover the windows and there are sheets hanging off the windows because the fabric length does cover up their private moments.

And in same building there is someone who hasn't bothered to cover them at all and all those summer evenings I see him working out with weights, looking sweaty (and not appealing at all) in his skivies. I think he thinks that if he paid that much for the apartment then he must be invisible.
  • Kazmack -corner of 7th Ave + Windsor Plc-been there for years and do excellent work
