  • Thursday 6/8 is looking good.
  • Next thursday not really good for me. Tuesday or Wednesday much better. can I have my vote back?

Loki Lounge this time, The Gate next time (based on a poll in another thread where Loki and The Gate were tied at 4 votes and the fact that I like Loki Lounge better  ).

Mods....Free Our Votes! I am now a tuesday!
  • and i am now a thursday 6.8! :D
  • Then it looks like we're evened out, which is good, because I can't alter the poll results (not sure if the admins can), just the question and choices.
  • In the immortal words of Homer....D'Oh!
  • OK. I'm calling this for Loki Lounge this Thursday 6/8.

    Who's in?

I can be there probably around 8-9.
  • i'm in!

i can be there probs 'round 8. you'll find me by the pool table.
  • i'm in!
  • I'll be there.
  • I'm def. gonna try to make it.
  • Did the board outage prevent people from going? I was gonna, but it's too much of a hike if you can't confirm that anybody showed...
  • Well, unless somebody stealthed it, it was myself, steve and quijbo. We figured the board problems - and the weather - may have led to the low attendence, but on the other hand I went because it seemed the plan was pretty much set for a week. Definitely worth another shot one of these days.
  • Yeah sorry about the no-show, but last time there was a board outage right before the happy hour it totally killed it, and I didn't want to hike all the way over there in the rain and not find anybody.

We have to try this again. DO-OVER!!!
  • oops.

    my bad.
    good catch.

other ways to say sorry without actually saying sorry.

what can we do to prevent the boards from going down again?

should we pass around the tip jar?

good to meet steve and drano last night

I was thinking of going but I was scared to go by myself into Park Slope at night - what with the Stroller Mafioso there (Sorry Drano I just had to do it ;) )

    Sorry that was me above
  • oh feck. the guest post is mine
  • we've been trying to avoid the big-bucks servers, and I guess we got burned for it. the old webhost would arbitrarily shut down brooklynian.com, dailyheights.com and dailyslope.com and then say something vague about processor overload.

over the past few days, the problem was transferring the database, which was more expensive and time consuming than it should have been, but we are not in danger of going broke.

I'm thinking about starting a collection for next week's going away party (that would be me leaving Brooklyn).

Through Paypal or some other form?
  • yeah, sorry. had no clue if anyone was going to show or not. next time, can we have it at patio?
  • I stupidly went, even though I have no idea what anybody looks like and I didn't know if people were gonna show or not. But there were only a few people there, at the bar, who seemed to be couples or guys there to watch the game. So I left. I tried again at around 9, thinking I might see people who looked like part of a little group ... there were some people in the back but of course when I asked them if they were PS happy hour folk they looked at me like I was a retard. So I left again.

    So yeah, DO OVER.
  • Sorry, that was me above.
  • wait. who are you?
drano, steve and myself left at around 10 or so...
    maybe a little later...
