Funnily enough, during my subway commute today, I was thinking of the various shoe threads on this board when I was reading the New Yorker article about Zappos in last weeks issue.
(.... don't have any ideas for you - sorry!) -
Oh, my New Yorker didn't seem to come this week (hmmmm?)....but I love me some Zappos.

I have an awesome pair of cole Haans with Nike Air.
Ok, I said I love Cole Haan with Nike Air.

I was all excited about these so I stopped by a Cole Hahn store to see what size I am in their shoes b/c I wanted some of their boots, but the support in them seemed like nothing to brag about : / I might still get the boots (maybe a half size up so I can add cushioning) but I'm going to see if I find something else better first. -
My aunt swears by Donald Pliner shoes but looking at their website, it may be more of a low heeled wedge sandal fetish than pumps. Their heels are high.
Sacco used to be across from my work and I went through a lot of their low heels. How about these?

what the fuck?

The blank message says something about Donald Pliner for pretty summer sandals and wedges but fall heels look high, and there are some pretty low wedge heeled sling backs at Sacco.

So I just went to the Atlantic DSW and tried on lots of shoes. Some brands that had a cute shoe in the store and had great support:
Van Eli (Vaneli): I can't find the exact shoes I saw there online, but they were very cushy and true to size for my foot.
What's What: This shoe was much cuter in person, IMO and comfy and fit a little bit (I would go down half a size for myself).

Also, I tried on several boots and they all had pretty much the exact same support that the super expensive Cole Haan boots I tried on, had, which is minimal. -
Did you try the Cole Haans with Nike Air in them? I don't think all have them.
Those shoes are cute, but too close to ballet slipper for me. I need something a little sexier with a small heel.
I got a pair of Clarkes from Zappos that arrived yesterday but I haven't opened them yet -
I did try them with the Nike Air.
Some of those I looked at have cute heal versions online and I think are way cuter in person than in the pictures. -
I can see it with a heel.
I bought these, but haven't opened the box yet

All my gimpy ass sees is the heel. Hahaha. Hopefully you'll get them on and love them. We all deserve a shoe we love

This is true. I put on my sneaker for the first time last week and that didn't go well, so this shoe might be too much

..too sporty?
