  • Clinton ignored terrorism. Didn't look good in the polls. Clinton and his ilk are responsible for 9/11... Gorelick and the wall, bubba refusing obama er osama from the Sudan, did nothing after the 1st WTC attack, nothing with the African Embassy bombings, strikes a pharmacy factory to take the blowjob off the front page with over 50 million dollars worth of cruise missles also hitting tents, camels etc., done without consulting his joint chief of staffs by the way, not till an hour before.Nothing after the Cole attacks, Gore's failure with the FAA security. Wonder what Sandy Berger stuffed in his socks. Clinton cut the military in half and neutered our intelligence.

BUSH was in office 8 months, Bubba had 8 years and was sorry 9/11 didn't happen on his watch knowing Monica is his pathetic legacy.. And he was obsessed with bin laden ahahah.Pathetic.

    time to lock this thread.

    Eggcream,

I agree with all that you wrote.

My last comment will be the same as my first, thank you President Bush for making us safe.

Talk to you all in a couple of weeks. Time to write some long overdue articles which means no internet for me.

    You lie, sir! Defend.

Well, it is widely known that the folks fighting the US in Iraq are coming in from all over the world, even the US.
That's true -- it was quite a magnet for a while there for young people who wanted to blow up a US soldier engaged in occupying another country. I'd kind of call that an own goal though, since not many US civilians traditionally live in Iraq, and it was entirely the US government's choice to send the military plus civilian contractors there, and get things off to a superb start by dismantling the existing infrastructure and institutions. Here's some numbers on the harm done to America et al. in the course of the Iraq adventure, including the terrorist recruitment:

A bit out of date, but you get the general idea.

It's like the story of the guy who was stung by a hornet, and figured the best way to respond was to hunt down a nest, get a big stick, and whack it again and again and again until they got the message.
  • Thank you, George Bush, for being such a complete fuck-up that you single-handedly ended the Bush Dynasty. Jeb must be just a little annoyed, don't you think?
  • Yea, Uh Thanks for keeping me safe
I currently also Thank God WE DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER 4 Years Of Being So Called "SAFE"

Why Are Republicans Such Cry Baby Sore Losers? Get Over It, Your President is a Democrat and Actually Knows How To Communicate To The American People.
  • Although Bush Was A Way Better Source Of Entertainment.

  • obama has kept us safe as well. you are thankful for him, too, right? be consistently illogical, at least.
  • Sorry you are illogical. ou can't prove a negative. . . the following is from Wikipedia:

Negative proof, the fallacy of appealing to lack of proof of the negative, is a logical fallacy of the following form:

"X is true because there is no proof that X is false."

It is asserted that a proposition is true, only because it has not been proven false. [1]

    For example:

"'Stone Age tree forts' must have existed, because archaeologists have no proof that they did not exist". (While it is allowable that the possibility exists, this shifts the burden of proof away from the proposition that they did in fact exist)

However, the fallacy can also occur when the predicate of a subject is denied:

"Archaeologists have no proof of the existence of 'Stone Age tree forts', therefore they must not have existed." (While the burden of proof is properly placed upon the the proposition of existence, this ignores possibilities, such as the proposed 'tree fort' structure rotting completely away, leaving no evidence)

Negative proof statements do not always follow this full form. For example, if it is said, in a discussion of 'Stone Age tree forts' that "there is no evidence that they exist", or "there is no evidence that they do not exist".
  • Subject: Jesus Hates George Bush and I Stopped the Terrorists

Bush didn't keep this country safe. I did with my anti-terrorist rock. On Sept. 12, 2001 I put in my front yard to ward off terrorists. And has there been a terrorist attack since Sept. 11 2001 in this country? No.

    So you are welcome.

  • speaking of a rock, weren't we supposed to be getting free oil now and all of the war costs would be getting reimbursed by the grateful inhabitants of Liberated Iraq?

I must have dozed off or something.

Yes, as soon as we get the infrastructure up to what it was under Saddam.

We're just having some technical difficulties. Bear with us.
  • Asking Jesus to kill someone isn't advocating murder. Jesus is dead and can't do it. So there's no risk to it. But overreaction is what I should have expected.

Boy I sure do miss common sense.

    Try relaxing and re-reading.

All that was said is that your fellow members (of any affiliation) might take you to task for any such posts. Perhaps you've missed all the sparks flyin' along these lines over the last week.
  • The views that Bush kept us safe in any way makes me weep for this country. Simply tell that to anyone that has lost their life in Iraq. I think they'd beg to differ. Must be easy to spout support for someone from the comfy confines of your Bklyn place. Truly sad.
  • One more set of numbers, for people who probably aren't interested in numbers: 9/11 killed 2740 US citizens. Iraq has killed 4259 so far.

Can we count Iraqi lives too? Or maybe people who think George kept us safe don't count Iraqi lives as equal to ours.

I deliberately left out coalition losses in Iraq, let alone those A-rabs (sic). Also didn't count foreign nationals working at the WTC. Real Americans seem to be more interested in presidents that keep Real Americans safe.

"you have to break eggs to make an omlette"
  • Yup, we took it upon ourselves to destroy a society, in the way we thought best, with almost no concern for Iraqis.

...based on flawed intelligence that was intentionally stunted by a psychopathic belief in neoconservative ideology.
  • As Professor Ben Ferencz said, Bush deserves to stand before another Nuremberg Tribunal.
