21st Street bet. Church and Albemarle — Brooklynian

21st Street bet. Church and Albemarle

Would be interested in hearing from folks about the safety of this area. Thinking of renting here (fyi I'm a single female). Thanks!

  • For $500 I'll stand out there for 8 hours at various times of the week and let you know how much crime I witness.
  • Meaning?
  • There is some serious drug dealing not to far from that location. But that was about 5 years ago. Things might have changed since (hopefully). Walk around the area at night. If you don't feel safe....then go with your gut feeling.
  • Where is 21st Street? I assume you mean East 21st street. Is that Kenmore Place? I don't see 21st Street between Church and Albemarle on a map.

But unless your on the west/south side of the Q/B line I'd stay away from anything between Church and Albemarle.

This is an excellent idea. When folks ask about a neighborhood, we will respond with how much we would charge for the service of recording the crimes we see.

Riskier neighborhoods would result in higher prices.

Berkley place and 6th Ave in Park Slope: no crime. Therefore I will charge $100.

Sutter and Mother Gaston, slightly more.
  • I will offer my opinion on several neighborhoods in which I've lived (North Crown Heights, South Slope, Prospect Heights + many others in Manhattan and even Queens) for free. Seriously.

Thanks to all the replies so far. Much appreciated. This apt. is Kenmore Place (which I guess is also E. 21st). Near the cemetery and Seventh Day Adventist church.
  • MOD NOTE: since this is a cut and paste of an identical post with its own thread, you can continue discussion (if you wish) on the that thread. thx. please check out the rules of this site, linked at the top of every page.
