  • Julius, it seems to be just us.

...which means it may be just you because I have a wood related project I'm busy working on, and am likely to cancel if no else chimes in.
  • I could have sworn I posted something about this earlier but I guess I didn"t, or maybe I did on the wrong thread.

It's definitely a GO. Tomorrow at noon. I'm bringing 3 people, and I thought Nomad may join us as well? Either way, from my camp there'll be at least 3 people if not 4.

Whynot, no flaking out now, you can deal with your wood-related project in the morning (best time for wood anyway ;-) )
  • I posted my earlier answer to the midnight ride thread, duuuh (now deleted). Must be getting old.
  • I'll make sure to deal with my wood before I see you at noon.
  • So wait, there's also a ferry leaving from Brooklyn? Where from?

    (I must be blind)
  • From Fulton St (near the yummy ice cream place)

    look down on the link...

  • Yep. Thanks!

    ...did you see my pm?
  • Not sure if I'll be joining you yet. Will let you know tomorrow.

    Nope.
  • Personal email, sorry...jeez, I'm losing it today. I will resend it now. Check your email
  • I can't make it today but have fun everyone! It's a very lovely getaway for sure.
  • I'm in!

So is it 12-noon @ GAP?

Should we bring picnic foods... is there someplace over there to pick up a sandwich or anything?
  • I think we'll grab a couple of deli sandwiches just in case. See you in a bit.
  • Yea Christina. See you all at noon at GAP.

As for food, they have some food carts there. There's a woman who has a food cart she brings down from Harlem and makes great soul food. Her BBQ chicken is amazing. I hope she's there today. I've been looking forward to that as much as going to the island itself.
  • Great ride everyone. Sorry for ditching you at the end, I was in need of my best friend and brewed goodness. Just got home in time to check where the pictures ended up you all took...?
  • Yep - a great day!

    Here are some pix:

    Beer cycle!
A vehicle that seats 10 who cycle to propel it, and it can be hooked up to serve beer! Just what we need for the midnight rides.

... don't think we'd make it up the Prospect Park hill though!

    Dutch fest!
Kinda surreal. Bizarre outdoor entertainment. (And no clogs... which leads me to believe it wasn't dutch at all!)

You drank lemonade for 9 days? WTF?

Did you really not eat anything for 9 days??

  • 14 days. Google it. It's not that bad.
  • But Whynot - this doesn't have space for a bar tender in the middle!
  • Don't forget what we all learned on Sunday:

It ain't much, if it ain't Dutch.
  • By the way, why are all these posts time stamped an hour early?

the design would have to be modified, that or we could attach a trailer.
