Weekend Bike Ride

I'm planning on riding to beach and back on Saturday and wondering if anyone wants to join me. I'm a 30, female, ride a fixed gear that I commute on, and I'm in good shape, but not a speed demon or anything. I'm new to the neighborhood (moved from Chelsea) and looking for other bikers to ride with... let me know if anyone is up for a beach trip!

I can't do saturday rides, i work but i'm always down for Sundays. We do "big" rides on Sundays, Riis Beach, The Cloisters, etc... Hit me up!

me too, but can't do this weekend or next, off to north carolina. i have been thinking of "organizing" very informal weekend rides, listing them on my billytall.blogspot.com address if people are interested, go there and let me know

Thanks for the responses! Lexie, I can't do this Sunday, but I'd love to join you for a "big" ride another weekend. MeredithB and flaco: maybe we can organize something for a future weekend. I'm around. I've rode to the Rockaways a few times, which is really nice.

So lets try to do August 9th if that works for everyone... we can go out to the rockaways on the bike path. It's a great ride! If that date doesn't work I can do any other Sunday, just send me a message to let me know the "firm" date. looking forward to it.

Thanks Nomad! I didn't make it all that far today - got stuck in a freak downpour close to Neptune (lasted all of 5 minutes) then got a flat tire... so an adventure. I'm not available tomorrow, but this is exactly the kind of ride I'm looking to do, so I hope y'all go again.

Ugh - I can't do it - I'm "putting the baby to bed." Why is that in quotes? That's literally what I'm doing, at 8:30PM, so my husband can hang out with some friends. I will watch the boards and hope to catch the next impromptu ride, which will fall on my night off.
