  • I've added many more photographs of the work done on the PLG Arts Mural
Project over the last two weeks. The new photos start with # 103. The URLs are
    the same.

Here they are as a set of photos:

    and as a slide show:

There's more about the project on the PLG Arts website and these
    photographs should also be there:

The murals are nearing completion. There are two individual artist panels not
finished, one each on Lincoln and Flatbush; these should be completed over the
next few days. The PLG Arts informational panels are still being
completed.Lastly, work will (I hope) start soon on the Maple Street School
panels, closest to the Lincoln Rd. subway entrance.
  • those are great! incidentally, you can find instructions on posting photos to this site on the ask brooklynian board, in this thread: http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30929

    who organized this project?
  • Thank you Sweet Tea. The project was organized by PLG Arts. It's as much a group show as a mural--two dozen artists created individual panels,I am the project manager; I suggested the idea to our board (actually based on a suggestion made by someone else on our local PLG Yahoo List), got the permission of the owners of the construction site, lined up the artists, assigned the panels and documented the work. The real physical work, of course, was done by the artists themselves and the many volunteers, who primed and prepared the particle board fences.
