raw, if you read through information given... The most likely reason is that the kitty had just come back from vet, having had anesthesia for dental proceedure and was in pain and disoriented from medication. Animals who are in pain will "hide" and this was a good hiding place. Don't you think so?

poor kittah, make sure she gets very soft food and a kitty pain killer. Let us know if she doesn't get better by the end of the weekend.
