So the sign is up on the corner of 6th ave and 9th st, the former bodega next to Barbes is going to be a patisserie. Anyone have any info on who's behind it?

Call me ignorant, but what's a patisserie?
  • A (French) pastry shop - makes cakes, cookies, etc.

Wow, no sooner then the sign was up on 6th ave and 9thst for a new
pastiserie then another cafe/coffee bar opened on 6th ave and 12th street.
I ventured into it on Sunday and it looks quite nice - The Red Horse Cafe-
Beautiful leather chairs and couches. Free wireless. Reminds me of the
Tea Lounge but much nicer seating and smaller. I didn't try the coffee
or pastry but I certainly will.
  • I wrote about thr place on 6 th/12th 2 weeks or so ago. I didn't realize it was going to be a cafe v. a full-fledged restaurant. Or is it both?

I'm in Spain, and I can't remember my password, so I'll sign this.....

It definitely looked like a cafe vs restaurant. Counter with muffins etc., couches, coffee tables.

    Have fun in Spain.
