Halloween Stuff? — Brooklynian

Halloween Stuff?

edited November -1 in Park Slope
Hiya!

I'm a little new to the slope, and I'll be having my first Halloween here in a few weeks. Halloween is also my birthday, so I want to do some pretty cool stuff! Ideally, while dodging the worst of the crowds. Historically, my NYC birthdays have always been marred by huge crowds and noisy places, which have their place, but I'd like to maybe do something a bit lower-key, too!

So I'm coming to you folks for advice for cool Halloween/Birthday stuff to do in the neighborhood. What's worth doing? What's overrated? What's great, what's overcrowded? Where can one get drinks with some elbow room and some conversation-level music and maybe a keen event or two? On the 31st?

Perhaps I ask too much, but I figure if anyone knows, it's you folks!

  • ^nice job adding the flattery at the end :-)

Sorry, I have never done Halloween locally, so I don't have any good advice for you
  • Way Station in Prospect Heights is having a Halloween Event - but since they've only been open twice, I doubt it'll be the most crowded place ever.
  • Way Station is a good call, thanks! Also discovered the greenwood cemetery tour that day (spending the day of my birth around the graves of the dead has a strange appeal for me, hehe). That might be good, but I'd still like to hear what ideas are out there.
