Not much sun in this part of FloriDUH today but it's still in the 80's. I'm kinda jealous of Pa. with the snow they got. Maybe i'll get to feel the snow again soon.
---------------------
Hi Michael, It was so cold here today, very damp, it almost felt like snow, just one of those days where you want to stay in and get things done!!!
I forgot where some of the stores were located but if I think about what block I was on then I have to remember if I turned to the right or the left!!! We moved from B'klyn when I was eleven and then whenever we visited, it was usually to Flatbush where my grandparents lived, but I do remember one time my parents taking me shopping on 5th ave when I was 17, lots and lots of good memories. -

A Message from David - to his Sons Michael & Jonathan:
"Boy o' mine, boy o' mine, this is my prayer for you,
This is my dream and my thought and my care for you:
Strong be the spirit which dwells in the breast of you,
Never may folly or shame get the best of you;
You shall be tempted in fancied security,
But make no choice that is stained with impurity.
Boy o' mine, boy o' mine, time shall command of you
Thought from the brain of you, work from the hand of you;
Voices of pleasure shall whisper and call to you;
Luring you far from the hard tasks that fall to you;
Then as you're meeting life's bitterest test of men,
God grant you strength to be true as the best of men.
Boy o' mine, boy o' mine, singing your way along,
Cling to your laughter and cheerfully play along;
Kind to your neighbor be, offer your hand to him,
You shall grow great as your heart shall expand to him;
But when for victory sweet you are fighting there,
Know that your record of life you are writing there.
Boy o' mine, boy o' mine, this is my prayer for you;
Never may shame pen one line of despair for you;
Never may conquest or glory mean all to you;
Cling to your honor whatever shall fall to you;
Rather than victory, rather than fame to you,
Choose to be true and let nothing bring shame to you."

I cry as I read this. My heart is aching for my boys. My heart aches for all who had to grow up without their parents at a young age.
It was a perfect reading as if he were giving them advice from above. it meant so much to me. thank you and Love u very much[/i] -

TRULY ---- ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! -
Hi Guys,
How is everyone tonight???
What a dreary day.....so cold and windy....hung around most of the day, even took a nap, my husband didn't even wake me, he cooked a really nice dinner for my kids and my son's roommate....now he took my son back to school....so glad to see my son....he and I went to my moms yesterday...he wanted to see her....she is doing a little better....still so weak....but she is starting to eat alot better....we need to get the physical therapist back, because she needs to get her strength back.....we just take one day at a time.....
When I woke up from my nap, I ate and then had to clean up the whole kitchen....then a got a second wind so I cleaned all the bedding from my son's room from him and his roommate, then I changed my kitchen curtains and washed some lighting fixtures in the kitchen.....now I am tired again..lol lol
Maryann, Debbie, Suzie, Patsy, Festina, Jeanette, Francesca and Terry - thanks for asking and all your kind words..
Helen -Hope you are feeling better....
Hi to everyone else and have a good night....going to change the sheets on my son's bed and then relax and watch some TV. -
Terry - Glad you had a good day yesterday...that pic of Mia and her dad bringing the balloons to be set free was just precious.....sometime I forget like Mia my kids never got to meet their grandfather......but the love you all have for each other shows through...you have a wonderful family.

The Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.
The Madame Speaker and The Pope, however, have seen it all before.
To make it a little more interesting, Madame Speaker says to the Pope, "Did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make every Democrat in the crowd go wild?"
He doubts it, so she shows him. Sure enough, the wave elicits rapture and cheering from every democrat in the crowd. Gradually, the cheering subsides.
The Pope, not wanting to be outdone by such a level of arrogance, considers what he could do....
"That was impressive, the Pope says, "But did you know that with just one little wave of MY hand I can make many people in the crowd, and many around the world, go crazy with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this day and rejoice.."
The speaker seriously doubts this, and says so. "One little wave of your hand and so many people will rejoice forever? Show me."
So the Pope slapped her. -

So much so that we went to play miniature golf at an indoor place. They each scored a 67 and I scored a 62.I did the math so...ya never know. I have gotten some private messages from someone else that reads along now on the blog here and he said there was a Woolworths and a Kresgees in that area but wasnt sure which was on which street. Does anyone else here remember these two stores and exactly where they were located? Please help out an Old Goat in FloriDUH. -
