FULTON FLEA - WEEK 5 SUNDAY OCTOBER 18 at 650 Fulton Street — Brooklynian

FULTON FLEA - WEEK 5 SUNDAY OCTOBER 18 at 650 Fulton Street

The Fulton Flea will 'pop-up' again this coming Sunday October 18 from 10 AM to 6 PM in the parking lots of the Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center at 650 Fulton Street. Check us out at www.fultonflea.com or call 917 364 5648.

We continue to grow in both Vendor participation and resident exploration.

Indeed, there is 'park' in a parking lot, and we are building community and business opportunity. Fulton Street as an expanding Main Street is showing its vitality, and residents are discovering the talents and offerings of the entrepreneurs setting up to offer their goods.

We expect an increasing diversity of items and participants -- and are trying to offer a range of price points to be affordable and inclusive. As always, we are looking to showcase local musical talent, so please contact us if you have that gift to offer.

Highlights from this past week included:

+ Live music from a South American trio playing Andes inspired tunes, plus a double acoustic set from the very talented Bryan Logan (google him, he has a terrific sound and meaningful lyrics);

+ Some amazing and diverse hats, from handmade crochet to stitched with recycled fabric, to artful, to soulful. (Thanks to Jacqueline Lamont, Yuko Ogawa of Really Roots, and Jenson of Philosophy of Software, as well as to Chaz Accessories, located on Fulton Street at the corner of Kingston Avenue, who joined us to link one end of Fulton Street to the other! );

+ An ongoing display of antiques from Vhue Antique Collections;

+ Some Vintage treasures from Closet Envi, Starrkeema and Roberta Sutton's Opera Era Collection;

+An assortment of jewelry from eclectic costume finds (thanks Grace) to fine and distinct (Tracey Easton of BButtafly) to vintage and unique (Fredy Roncalla and his typewriter key collection was a big hit);

+ kenzie delaine photography continued to shout out color, spirit, insight and talent for documenting events of all types;

+ some African inspired fabric and clothing accessories;

+ NY Life product and service information;

+ and the Amazing and delectable desserts by Michael Allen (also located on Fulton Street near Grand Avenue, check him out!) as well as incredible and innovative butters and spreads by SkimKim (google them, they can cater to you!!).
