Discount year membership at Brooklyn Museum
I'm not one to shill, but thought this was a good deal I should share. Groupon.com has a deal for a year's family membership to the Brooklyn Museum for only $35, instead of the normal $85. It gives free general admission for two adults and four children for a year.

nice find! thanks!
-
yeah thanks,
we live so close but don't go very often, will totally take advantage of it now... -
Yeah, it's a pretty awesome deal. If you actually go with another adult and four kids, you'd pay for it in one visit.
-
and if you join right away, you're in time to go see Blondie play next Thursday night:

Hot smickitty-smack! Nice!
-
i was about to post this -- i bought mine during lunch today! mine had expired and i kept putting off renewing it.
-
I think it's a great deal and a great excuse for me to actually go - have only been there to vote in my three years here. Sadly, I do not see anything about the deal on groupon - rather a deal for some spa treatments. Did it expire or were there a limited quantity? I want me some membership.
-
i gather groupon is always one-day-only. so that deal only lasted until midnight.
-
Bah! The perils and unnecessary hardships of the flawed capitalist system!
The whole machine is oiled with the blood of the workers! -
Yeah, it was just a one day deal.
-
I joined up! Thank you!
-
Help! I never got my second email with directtions to print the tickets! Please help!
-
you paid for the groupon? you should have gotten an email saying to print the groupon and then you go to the museum to actually get the membership..
Log into groupon and click on "my stuff" and then "my groupons". If you payed for it, it should show up there. Then you can click on it and print it out. -
thank you!!! I just figured it out! I freaked out went I went online and could not find the email with the tickets. Have fun tomorrow night!
-
you're welcome! you too!
-
note: you don't have tickets -- you have a groupon (a coupon sold to a group) that you have to take to the museum and get your actual passes.
-
I called the museum with the groupon info and they mailed me the invite to the show tomorrow. That's what the receipt said to do, or print it out and go early to the Museum.

Subject: No Tipping?
Amazing night... nice show, the accoustics were terrible, but then they always are... the booze was included... so no one tips? At First Saturday nights... ya tip for a 6 buck beer... but when it is included no one tips? Come on people... the waiti staff is still making their hourly rate which ain't much! Is it not hip to tip? And people were mean...
Howdy, Stranger!
