dog poop in bensonhurst sidewalks

I have lived in bensonhurst for a few years and i think its a great neighborhood, with the exception of one thing....the massive amounts of dog poo on the sidewalks especially on 64th street between 23rd and 24th avenue. I have a dog myself and i pick up after him ALL the time. i dont want anyone to step on it and then track it all over the rest of the sidewalk trying to get it off their shoes.
if theres anyone that's reading this who lives here on the block and walks their dog PLEASE pick up the poo that comes out of your dogs butt! You own the dog and it should be YOUR responsibility! Your dog unfortunately cant do it by themselves. if they could I'm pretty sure they would.
If you dont pick up after your dog then you dont desrve the dog at all and you dont deserve to live in this nice neighborhood. Respect the neighborhood and the neighborhood will respect you back because one day while you walk your dog you mite actually step on your own dog's poop and maybe then you will learn what it feels like to see, smell and step in shit.
Also can anyone tell me how I can the city to post up a sign that states that owners must pick up after their dog or a hefty fine for not doing so?
