I prefer "fun-loving, indoorsy type" -
Flexichick, another home remedy that should help clear all the snot out of you. Its an old Trinidadian remedy that a friend passed on to me.
Get a small ginger root, cut it up and boil it in water with one lime (peeled and quartered). Strain and sweeten with sugar/honey to taste. Drink like you would any tea.
You'll feel the first sip burn a hole in the mucus, the second will feel like you deposited an altoid in your sinuses, and by the third, you should be okay. -
Ginger is a wonderful thing.

Do what my single friends do - they have a "singles only" happy hour where each single person must bring another single friend with them. They have met some really nice guys/girls and made a lot of new friends.

I think my chief complaint in life just became the lack of open bar singles events in prospect park.

I've always wanted to make a shirt that said, "Welcome To Park Slope - Dog, Baby, or Same Sex Partner Required For Residency"

Hey, now, I've been a resident for 9 years and I don't have any of the above (at least no kids "that I know of"
).
I do, however, have a yoga mat and an SUV. Think that will work for residency? -

I think some of us slipped in before the border patrols were instituted.
The day I noticed this place going in around the block from me I realized that the South Slope is becoming more Real Park Slope:

I'm um...flexible on the issue. How are you feeling by the way? I have to start with the yoga again next month, but man do I hate yoga. -
I still feel like crap, although I got a lot of good tips (thanks, everybody).
I bought some congee stuff in Chinatown today - paid for it and forgot the bag in the store
I love yoga, but I haven't been able to go in a week and a half.
Signed,

dude, congee is a total cold fix!
-
"Dude" .....I totally spazzed out and left it on the counter. Also some bean stuff.
Anybody know where I can buy these Chinese beans locally? Or how about some Congee? -

Maybe another Sunset Park outing is in order. Is Sunday good for anyone? If so, I'll split this topic off and we can plan further.

I've never had congee, and after an internet search I'm still a tad confused as there seem to be so many variations ... -
Sunday-Possibly early evening, not much earlier.

It's Father's Day, so I was thinking brunch plans to leave the evening free for paternal reverence.
-
Dad's in Fl. so my paternal reverance is done early in the day

there are single men in park slope?
i love the park, i lie there alone on my blanket. (and trust me, i'm adorable!) on the weekends the park is filled with a) single women alone on blankets, b) groups of single women on blankets, c) couples reading the paper and groping each other on blankets, d) couples with small babies, on blankets, e) birthday parties for little kids, filled with married couples and screaming children.
it's very sad. -

i spent all day in the long meadow, played a nice pick up soccer game
8 on 8. made a few friends. almost got myself invited to this
lesbian soccer match in astoria on sunday
why don't you pitch your blanket over by the soccer/ultimate games
in the long meadow instead? lots of guys there
whether single or not will require a conversation
Howdy, Stranger!
