ok....but if I really have to share .....I got 1st dibbs on the steak!
  • I've never had the brocolli rab with pasta. I'm not sure how my dad made it but I know it looked the one in the picture with Terry. IF whoever made that dish would be so kind to share the recipe I would greatly appreciate it. I'm sure there are variations to the recipe as well. Like Debs with pasta that sounds so good. Maybe with stuff like this...recipes of food from back then and even now...we could put in seperate category here on the blog so they will be easily found. Along with those other topics like...Who is on 6th ave or 22nd st or 22nd and 6th ave. any thoughts??
  • Im with you all the way.....we would need Carol Miele to come on
and give us the recipe ......or Festina!
  • I have a chicken marsala recipe that is in my opinion the best I have ever tasted. I think it would be great to share things like this on the blog but in a seperate area. Not to take anything away from this blog but to add to it. I'm sure most everybody here has a favorite dish or two or three...lol... they wouldnt mind sharing. I know I would love to have some of these recipes.
  • Sure Michael you can share those recipes in the comfort of my kitchen!
  • Jim has been posting recipes and so has Umbria....I just forget sometimes to print it out....Im not sure where we would go to keep it seperate from this blog!
  • If ya click on 'Brooklyn Back When' it's a link at the bottom of the page, it will take you to a section that has other topics started by people here when some were confused about where to post. It's a good place in my opinion to do something like this for ease of finding the recipes. I'm gonna post my chicken marsala recipe there at a later time and see if it works out.

  • Subject: car accident

As a person who has lost friends and family to auto accidents, I feel I have the right to point out one important fact.
It is a terrible tragedy to lose a child, especially one so young....but, he took his parents suv, without permission, he was under age and unlicensed, plus it was raining very heavy. Unfortunately he paid the ultimate price

.....Watch your children...keep them close.....one mistake and it could be
    all over
