Gang rape outside school dance lasted over two hours
why do liberals believes in reform and fake death penalty(where they can appeal for decades). pisses me off, the justice system is way too lenient, my personal belief is they don't have to live in poor areas and deal with violent criminal elements that much.
i say fried them or cut their balls off. no such thing as reform. cheap bullet to the head and make the family pay for all their things including jail time.

Onlookers laughed, took pictures and even joined in Saturday night during the two-hour gang rape of a semiconscious 15-year-old outside her homecoming dance at Richmond High, police said Monday.
Teams of detectives and school resource officers spent the rest of the weekend trying to track down those responsible.
"The crimes perpetrated against this 15-year-old are both startling and horrific," police Chief Chris Magnus said Monday. "We are committed to arresting the perpetrators and to preparing the strongest case possible by aggressively pursuing every lead and utilizing the full resources of the department."
The victim, a student, remained hospitalized Monday with injuries that were not
life-threatening.
Patrol officers broke up the sex assault just before midnight, arresting 19-year-old Manuel Ortega as he ran from the crime scene, they say.
"She was raped, beaten, robbed and dehumanized by several suspects who were obviously OK enough with it to behave that way in each other's presence," said Lt. Mark Gagan, a patrol supervisor in the city's Northern Policing District. "What makes it even more disturbing is the presence of others. People came by, saw what was happening, and failed to report it."
Ortega remained at Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez on Monday, booked on suspicion of rape and robbery. Detectives believe as many as six other men raped the girl as she lay semiconscious on a courtyard bench,
also beating her, taking pictures and stealing her jewelry.
Police took at least one student out of Richmond High on Monday afternoon for questioning.
No one called police until word of the ongoing rape spread to a house party in the city's North and East neighborhood, where an appalled partygoer felt obligated to phone in the rumor.
"That's just wrong," senior class President Gina Saechao, who helped organize the dance, said Monday. "What if it was your little sister? What if it was your mom?"
Officers broke it up, and found the victim semiconscious and obviously hurt. Paramedics flew her to a regional trauma center in critical condition; she stabilized overnight.
This newspaper does not name victims of sexual assault without their consent.
The girl attended the dance, held in the gym from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday. About 400 students attended, with three administrators and four police officers both inside and watching the surrounding parking lot and street.
"Obviously we've had some breakdowns. Obviously, it was not safe because this happened," said Charles Ramsey, a West Contra Costa school district board member. "Should we have had higher awareness, should we have been more vigilant? Probably."
Police say the victim left alone about 9:30 p.m. and walked north on 23rd Street, expecting to catch a ride from her father. Instead, a schoolmate caught her attention from behind a cyclone fence on the north end of campus.
He invited her to join a group drinking and hanging out in a secluded courtyard behind the fence, Gagan said, and escorted her down Emeric Avenue to a short gate from which they made their way back to the group.
The assault began after the girl quickly drank a large amount of hard alcohol and fell over, Gagan said.
Detectives spent the rest of the weekend trying to identify the various participants, some of whom arrived after the gang rape began.
The courtyard is pitch-black at night, making it difficult to see into it from 23rd.
"(Lighting) is an ongoing issue for all our sites," school district spokesman Marin Trujillo said. "That particular section does have lighting. Could it be better? That's something we're always reviewing."
The school district plans to install surveillance cameras by January at the campus, a project long in the works. Plans for new fencing have been in the works since March.
"It's unfortunate that we weren't able to have this finalized a little bit sooner," Ramsey said. "But we've been on top of this issue (safety). Our board is working very proactively to make sure we stay on top of the issue."

why the fuck don't republicans believe in laws that actually act like rape is a crime:

uggghhhhhhh
-
republican party is a joke, its just a party of big government just like the democrats. will sell their souls, if they had any to begin with to the highest bidder. this goes for both parties.
i was just thinking along the lines in texas execution vs ny state execution. -

Sweet tea, read your own link, it's obviously poorly written (given the author) even the WH is against it.

http://www.republicansforrape.org/legislators/As Rachel Slajda reported at TalkingPointsMemo, despite the horrible optics of appearing to be in favor of rape, both the White House and the Pentagon are opposed to the amendment, at least in its current form.
(first link) -
ok, i admit that's not the best article. i've read quite a few, but this morning i just went for the quick link. mea culpa.
however, i still think that vote is shameful.
i've yet to hear anything reasonable about why it was opposed. if there's something i'm missing, please tell me. -
Even the white house opposes it. Why take away from the real issue by injecting the obligatory brookynian "we all hate Republicans here, right?", wink, wink, nod, nod. I suspect there is some Constititional enforcement issues that would render the law unenforcable.

i guess the "OMG rape is democrats' fault" tone of the OP set me off.
-
i never said democrats in my original post. plus with voters today, they never really look at the issues, they just blindly vote down the party line. they should take away the d and r in all ballets.
i hate democrats much as republicans.
hate democrats for their stand on criminal rights and republicans on their stupid asinine right to life. tons more issues that both sides can't look at the practical things instead stuck on being dogmatic.
reason i write more about liberals is pretty simple, its the party thats been in power in ny for almost ever!!
liberalism has been stolen by the democratic party. today's liberalism isn't yesterdays. -
you're right. you said liberals. since i define myself as a liberal more than as a democrat, i still find your statement annoying.
but whatever. -
you could find it annoying etc.. but if it made you think about what the issues is who cares. if not well i guess my message was lost in dogma.
-
do you have evidence that harsh sentences deter crime? if not, your story has nothing to do with your rant.
-
simple crime rates in asia is nothing to compare to here.
-
Meaning bigger crime is more prevalent in Asia than here? And which Asian countries are you speaking of? To lump them all in as one big crime free region is a bit disingenuous. Look at The Phillipines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Pakistan, parts of Japan...all of whom have high petty and violent crime rates. Reported and not reported. I doubt these countries have much of a liberal control of the laws.
-
crime in canada is nothing compared to here, despite the much less harsh laws. i'm not saying that proves our harsh laws are the cause of our crime -- i think it's reasonable to consider other factors -- but that means just saying a place with harsh laws has a lower rate isn't evidence of the opposite, either.
-
i mean east asia and they have fewer crimes, very tough laws.
-
I dunno. I found petty crime and a lot of drug addiction/homelessness concerning kids from their teens up to early twenties a bit prevalent in Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, St. Johns (NB) and Calgary.
I believe most of Asia has tough laws, "Da-Da Means Death", and yet both poor Asian and rich Asian countries have high crime rates in some districts and/or cities. -

You were right when you thought that we don't care what you think. -
My history classes were many many years ago but I seem to recall the rape of Chinese women during WW2 by the Japanese as a matter of course. Am I confused or is there a huge sex trade of children in Indonesia and Thailand?
Unfortunately every country has its crime - to say that one country has less than another is ridiculous. Human nature is human nature.
