GAS/ GEL FIREPLACES — Brooklynian

GAS/ GEL FIREPLACES

I'm researching the possabilities of putting a fireplace into my basement conversion living room ( Its a proper room with windows but has no heating ). Currently there is no gas supply on that level and I have no idea if its a feisible project to have that done but I have also been looking into gel fireplaces.
My experience with ordering on the internet has been somewhat cursed this year so I feel I'd prefer human guidance/ installation!
Does anyone know of a showroom or service dealing with such things?
Does any one have any thoughts or advice on either of these options?
Thanks

  • try the forum at Brownstoner.com or (god forbid) a place that sells gas furnaces for advice.

It's not about running new gas line as much as it is proper ventilation (DO NOT DIE).

...you might have to resort to expensive electric.
